At Good Earth Organics, we offer the highest quality, all-natural CBD products as a safe and effective alternative to prescription drugs and painkillers. If you’re living with high amounts of stress, anxiety, insomnia, or chronic pain, now is the perfect time to learn about CBD and how CBD products can provide you relief.
What is CBD?
CBD, also known as cannabidiol, is one of the most active ingredients in cannabis plants. While CBD comes from a hemp plant and is a component of cannabis, it does not cause a high. In 2018, the Farm Bill made hemp legal in all 50 states, removing CBD from the Controlled Substance Act. CBD derived from hemp is legal to purchase, manufacture, and sell in the United States without a medical marijuana license.
Why Do People Use CBD?
Many people find that CBD helps significantly reduce anxiety, insomnia, chronic pain, inflammation, and arthritis symptoms. CBD is a natural substance, and many CBD products provide the same relief as over-the-counter medications without all the harsh chemical compounds.
CBD can be made into a variety of different products. Some popular CBD products include:
- Tinctures– Tinctures come in the form of a spray or dropper that you place under the tongue, and the blood vessels absorb the CBD. Tinctures take about 15-30 minutes for effects to peak and last for up to 90 minutes. Tinctures are best for relieving anxiety and easing pain.
- Edibles/ Capsules– CBD edibles and capsules are taken orally. Capsules you can swallow like a pill, while edibles come in a variety of forms, such as gummies and chocolates. When an edible or capsule is ingested, it’s absorbed through the intestines and sent to the liver. The effects of an edible or capsule can take anywhere from one to three hours, depending on the person and how much they’ve eaten. Once absorbed, the effects can last anywhere from one to five hours. Edibles and capsules are primarily used for relieving anxiety, stress, and insomnia.
- Topicals– Topical CBD products come in the form of balms, massage oils, and creams. They’re most commonly used to relieve minor pain and inflammation in muscles and joints. CDB topicals applied to the skin won’t absorb into the blood and are used for target relief.
- Smokes/Vapes– CBD comes in hemp flowers that you can smoke, and you can also find CBD cartridges for vapes. With flowers and vapes, the CBD is inhaled through the lungs. It’s then sent to the brain before being metabolized by the liver. The effects of smoking and vaping can take seconds or minutes and tend to last for two to three hours.
It is important to note that CBD does affect everyone differently. While CBD is safe and legal to use, some people may experience nausea, fatigue, or irritability. CBD is also not recommended to people who are on blood thinners. If you are on any prescription meds, make sure you speak with your doctor before starting a CBD regimen.
What to Try if Your New to CBD
If you’re interested in trying CBD for the first time, start by identifying what benefits you’re hoping to gain by using CBD. If you’re looking to relieve anxiety or chronic pain, consider trying a CBD tincture, like our Good Earth Organics CBD Full Spectrum Tincture – 750mg, 1500mg and 3000mg. Start with a lower dose, such as 1/4-1/2 (12-25mg) a dropper, until you’re familiar with how your body reacts to CBD. For best results, use daily.
For assistance sleeping or to help to manage daily stress, try the Good Earth Organics Full Spectrum gummies. Gummies are also great if you want something with flavor or a convenient CBD option to take on the go. Similar to tincture, start with the lower 25mg gummies to see how you feel. If you want a bit more relief, 50mg gummies are available.
For sore muscles or joints, Good Earth Organics has various relief rubs and roll-ons. Our topical products are made with high-quality ingredients and infused with aloe vera, raw honey, and other key ingredients for the ultimate pain and inflammation relief.
