What is a cannabidiol?

A cannabidiol (CBD) is a natural compound that comes from the leaves, stalks, and flowers of the industrial hemp or marijuana cannabis. It is the most widely accepted non-intoxicating cannabinoid found in cannabis sativa plant. Hemp-based CBD extracts should not be confused with CBD from the marijuana, even though they both derive from the same plant-all of CBD oil products contain CBD extracted from industrial hemp.

A system within the human body called the endocannabinoid system (ECS) has receptors that these compounds fit into, using cannabinoids to support cells and healthy immune system function, despite fluctuations in our external environment.

Will I get ‘High’ from using CBD?

Because CBD is a non-intoxicating component from industrial hemp, which legally must have less than 0.3% of Tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), there’s no “high” or euphoric effect as a result of using hemp-derived CBD.

How long does it take to feel the effects of CBD?

Properties of CBD will vary for each individual depending on height, weight, and the quantity of CBD taken. Because there are no intoxicating ingredients with CBD oil, there is no “high’ effect; start with small amounts and gradually increase with each use until reaching desired results.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoid are molecular compounds naturally made from cannabis sativa plants; however, they also are found in other plants and produce inside bodies. Cannabinoids are classified as fatty compounds that play vital roles within our immune and central nervous system.

What is the endocannabinoid system?

The Endocannabinoid System (ECS) is a collection of cell receptors within a mammal’s body. Scientists discovered this system in the 1990s.

Phytoannabinoids work with the mammalian Endocannabinoid System (ECS), which is a vast receptor system that helps support homeostasis and health. This receptor system exists in the immune system, the central nervous system, and within many organs. The ECS accepts our bodies’ own endocannabinoids as well as the phytocannabinoids found in hemp.

The ECS is designed to support cells and healthy immune system function, despite fluctuations in our external environment.

A human’s endocannabinoid system affects many regions of the body, including functions of the immune system, the central nervous system (including the brain), organs, connective tissue, and glands.

The ECS supports various biological tasks, including energy & balance, immune function, memory, metabolism, sleep, and the function of the autonomic nervous system.

Will using CBD oil show on a drug test?

While hemp-based CBD products are manufactured from hemp plants containing less than 0.3% THC, there are still trace amounts. There is a small percentage that consuming CBD may lead to a positive drug test for THC, as it does with any product made from hemp. If this is a significant concern, we advise speaking with your employer or doctor. You may also look into a Broad Spectrum and Isolate CBD oil that has no THC.
